Day 1 Perthshire / Speyside
Travel to your min. 3* overnight hotel suitable for catching the ferry from Ullapool the following day.
Day 2 Inverness, NW Highlands & Stornoway ferry
Catch the early evening sailing from Ullapool with dinner served on the ferry. (timings may change in line with the ferry schedule)
Day 3 Guided Tour of Lewis
Be immersed in the folklore and history of the Isles as your local island guide takes you to see the impressive 5,000-year-old standing stones of Callanish (Scotland’s Stonehenge, but older). Ancient thatched “Blackhouses”, typical of crofting settlements, with entry included, and the imposing Carloway Broch, a fortified tower dating back over 2,000 years.
Day 4 The Uists
Travel along the spine of the Island to Harris with its rugged and mountainous landscapes covered in moorlands, deep lochs, and glorious coastline. Take the sea crossing to Uist—a captivating necklace of islands and islets, where water often dominates the landscape, interconnected by charming causeways and bridges. before spending the afternoon exploring the islands, discovering their remarkable beaches and scenic coastlines. The night will be spent in Benbecula, offering a tranquil and immersive experience in this unique island chain.
Day 5 Isle of Skye
Catch the ferry from South Uist to Skye. Where time permits enjoy a scenic down through the island to your hotel for the night ensuring you fully immerse yourself in the enchanting landscapes of this captivating region.
Day 6 Fort William and the Great Glen
The morning brings a tour through the stunning Great Glen, allowing for picturesque moments and photo opportunities at the iconic Eilean Donan Castle. Enjoy for free time in Fort William before travelling through the Glencoe, the scenery takes on a notably more dramatic and awe-inspiring quality with a final overnight in the central belt.
