Day 2: Ayrshire Coast & Dumfries House

Leisurely coastal drive through Ayrshire's coastal resorts of Troon and Prestwick, with a stop in Ayr.  We see Robert Burns’ birthplace in Alloway or Brigadoon before heading to nearby Dumfries House. One of Britain’s most beautiful stately homes and best-kept heritage secrets, it has sumptuous interiors and magnificent furnishings, all set in two thousand acres of land. It is regarded as an 18^th-century time capsule since the principal rooms and their contents have remained virtually unchanged for 250 years. In 2007, HRH The Prince of Wales, headed a consortium of charities to purchase the House to keep this historical jewel intact. A private guided tour of the house has been arranged, followed by afternoon tea in one of the House's plush private rooms.

Day 3: Glasgow

Today, we head north along the shoreline of the Firth of Clyde and into Glasgow. There is nowhere quite like George Square at Christmas time. Enjoy festive merriment beneath the traditional twinkling Christmas lights. See stunning views of the city from the 100ft+ observation wheel, and there are dozens of Christmas market stalls in St Enoch Square to browse around. It’s a winter wonderland right in the heart of the city, and Buchanan Street is a shopper's paradise.  This evening's dinner is Festive themed with all the trimmings.
