Day 2 North Wales Coast & Penrhyn Castle
Experience leisure time in the charming seaside resort of Llandudno. A short distance away lies the expansive 19th-century wonder - Penrhyn Castle. This neo-Norman castle is brimming with captivating artifacts, including a one-ton slate bed crafted for Queen Victoria, intricate carvings, elaborate plasterwork, and imitation-Norman furniture. The castle also hosts an exceptional collection of paintings and an intriguing industrial railway museum. The extensive 60-acre grounds feature exotic trees, plants, and a Victorian walled garden.
Day 3 Journey to the “roof-top” of Wales
Join the 4.7mile rail journey at Llanberis on mount Snowdon; the highest peak in Wales. At 3560ft it dominates the landscape, with stunning views. There is a state-of-the-art visitor centre with restaurant, and a path leading to Snowdon’s summit. Close-by travel back to Victorian times at the National Slate Museum - see the workshops, split a slate, and hear a real insight into the hardships of quarry life.
Day 3 Anglesey & Puffin Island Cruise
With origins dating back to the 13th century, Caernarfon is defined by its commanding castle, standing as one of Wales' most impressive fortresses. Crossing the Menai Straits, our journey continues to the Isle of Anglesey, where we pause for a photo opportunity at the striking Beaumaris Castle—an unfinished masterpiece constructed in 1295. Embark on a cruiser bound for Puffin Island, a habitat for various bird species and wildlife. The 80-minute cruise, featuring live commentary, encircles the island, providing regular sightings of puffins, grey seals, and dolphins.
