Full Day: Chester
Short journey across the border to the Roman city of Chester, with time to explore the many boutique and vintage shops of Rufus Court. Or, the beautiful 1000 year old Chester Cathedral. One of the best ways to take in this walled city is by having an expert guide on board. Therefore the afternoon is arranged for a ½ day guided tour of the city. Your guide will lead you on a captivating journey through 2,000 years of history, taking in all the main sites along the way, including the Rows, the Walls, the River and the Cathedral.
Full Day: Llandudno & North Wales Coastline
Taking the coastal route passing through the coastal towns of Prestatyn, Rhyl and Colwyn Bay. Time is spent in North Wales' premier resort Llandudno. Here there are pleasant walks along the Promenade, and there is an expansive shopping area with pubs and eateries. Or, jump on board the Great Orme Tram, which will transport you to 600 feet above the town for amazing views across the Bay. Later continue along the coast to Caernarfon, with its distinct medieval atmosphere. It arguably has one of Wales most important and intact castles. A Royal fortress-palace built on legends and bitter medieval conflict Time free to explore this coastal resort affording views across the Menai Straights towards Anglesey.
Full Day: Snowdonia & Welsh Highlands
This morning head into the Welsh Highlands where we stop in Llanberis to take in the magnificence of Mount Snowdon. Close by travel back into Victorian times at the National Slate Museum. See the workshops, split a slate if you wish and hear a real insight in to the hardships of quarry life in the 1800's. Continue our day in the Welsh mountains passing Swallow falls in Betws-Y-Coed, which should be quite a spectacle at the time of the holiday. Nestled in the twisting Clwydian hills in the north east of Wales, is the small town of Ruthin. It’s packed with Welsh history. A good place for a break before returning to your hotel.
