Based in a lovely family run hotel on the seafront. Our Morecambe based tour explores the both the Northern Yorkshire Dales visiting traditional Dales villages such as Sedbergh, Ingleton and Hawes. As well as a guided tour of Yorkshire's world famous cheese factory. The tour visits an 800 year old Hall and Gardens and a day is spent exploring the Southern end of the Lake District finishing with a trip on a lakeside steam train and a cruise on the Lake District's most well known lake.

Day 2: Morecambe & Leighton Hall
Morning free. Take in the sea air and see one the finest of views from its promenade with a magnificent sweep of coastline and bay. See Eric Morecambe's statue standing in his famous pose. The afternoon is spent at nearby Leighton Hall, which dates back over 800 years. A guided tour of the Hall is arranged. The house is still lived in to this day, there are no roped off areas and you can wander round at leisure. There are extensive gardens to roam around including a 19th century walled garden.
Day 3: Southern Lake District
The Lake District is only 40 minutes away, and the day is spent exploring the southern side of the Lakes. Stopping at Grange over Sands, an ideal spot for a cuppa in one of the many tearooms and there are some easy coastal walks to enjoy. We continue on towards Newby Bridge to board the Lakeside & Haverthwaite Steam Railway through picturesque Leven Valley to Lake Windermere, where a cruiser will be waiting to take you on a cruise along Lake Windermere to Bowness-on- Windermere, where, after exploring this Lakeside town, your coach will be waiting to take you back to your hotel.
Day 4: Northern Yorkshire Dales
First stop is the attractive Yorkshire Dales town of Ingleton. Then a magnificent drive into rolling Yorkshire Dales countryside, stopping for photos at the impressive 24 arched Ribblehead Viaduct, designated a historical site and a feat of Victorian engineering, claiming hundreds of lives during its build. Onwards and into tranquil Wensleydale. We stop to see the picturesque Aysgarth Falls before doubling back the nine miles to Hawes where your guide will be waiting at Wensleydale Creamery to explain and see how the famous cheese is made. Returning through Sedbergh.
