Day 2 Beer and Cheese Tasting
Travel to Ripon the Black Sheep Brewery. First opened in 1992 the tour will tell you the tales of how the brewery started to the present day, visit the Brewhouse and sample a range of the delicious beers. Next up Journey into the heart of the Yorkshire Dales to Wensleydale Creamery. The centre takes you on the journey of the art of cheese making through the years. Journey back through settle and through Skipton; “The Gateway to the Dales”.
Day 3 Chocolate and York
From Rowntrees to Terry’s some of the most famous names in confectionary were founded in York. York Chocolate House, founded in 2011 tells the story of York chocolate what it has become today. Have a go at making the sweet stuff yourself and enjoy the all-important taste test. Afterwards afternoon tea will showcase some of Yorkshire best produce. (Group may be split for afternoon tea and chocolate). Afterwards, enjoy free time exploring ancient York with its narrow streets, best known one is called "The Shambles" and no day to York can be complete without a visit to York Minster, dating back to 637AD.
Day 4 Day at the Coast
First stop is Pickering before hopping aboard the Yorkshire Moors Railways for a relaxing journey to Whitby (reverse journey may be added due to timetable). On arrival in Whitby overlooking the North Sea is the ruined gothic Whitby Abbey - Bram Stoker’s inspiration for “Dracula”. No visit to Whitby would be complete without trying its famous fish and chips. We have booked you tables in Whitby's oldest and most famous chippy. Afterwards, return to York and your hotel via Robin Hood’s Bay with a stop off in Scarborough completing the marvellous Yorkshire Coaster tour.
