Monday: Hexham and Alnwick Castle & Gardens

On our way to Alnwick Castle stop off at Hadrians Wall for photos before spending the afternoon at 700 year old Alnwick Castle. Tuesday: Newcastle Guided Tour
Known as a major shipbuilding and manufacturing hub during the industrial revolution Newcastle has become a centre for business, culture, arts and science. A local tour guide has been arranged to show you the sites and tell the tales of Newcastle, famous for its industrial heritage, brown ale and “Geordie” dialect. After lunch enjoy free time to explore the city and its culture for yourself.
Wednesday: Heritage Coastline, Lindisfarne & Holy Island
Northumbria is a country that lies within its own borders. It’s a unique and beautiful place with its distinct cuisine, tradition and lilting tongue. The coastal trail passes Brednall Bay and along the coastal road to the popular fishing village of Seahouses, where stalls sell the freshest of seafood. Continue along the coastline to Bamburgh with time free for lunch. Take a walk on the golden beach or visit impressive Bamburgh Castle. A must see is Holy Island of Lindisfarne – access is across the 2-mile causeway (tides permitting). Not only is the island the cradle of Christianity, but also a breathtakingly beautiful isle to stroll round with several cafés and characterful pubs to enjoy a refreshment.
