An excellent 3 night short break especially designed for Solo Travellers. Staying in the Shap Wells Hotel, nestled in between the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales. The tour spends one day exploring the Lakes including a cruise on the largest Lake in England and another day absorbing the Dales, stopping off in quaint market towns such as Kirkby Lonsdale, Settle and Sedbergh. Ending with a train journey on the famous Settle - Carlisle Line, travelling over the 24 arched Ribblehead Viaduct. All sole occupancy rooms in the hotel are spacious twin or double rooms, and there is entertainment provided on at least 1 night.

Sunday: Lake District & Lakes Cruise
Firstly we head to Kendal before proceeding to Windermere, with time free in Bowness, before boarding a cruise on the world famous Lake Windermere. Disembark Ambleside with time free to roam around and have lunch in one of the many pubs and eateries. Afterwards, we journey through wonderful Lakeland scenery as we drive over the famous Kirkstone Pass and into the Northern Lakes and the shoreline of Ullswater, before leaving the Lakeland Fells behind and returning to your hotel.
Saturday: The Western Dales & Train Journey
Into the Yorkshire Dales with a stop off in the pretty Dales village of Kirkby Lonsdale. Continuing on to Settle, with time free before boarding the diesel train on the best part of the famous Settle-Carlisle Railway. On this 45 minute journey, you will pass impressive limestone peaks, travel through tunnels and over viaducts including the famous Ribblehead Viaduct with 24 arches - a true masterpiece of Victorian engineering. Your coach awaits at Garsdale completing a fabulous day though the Western Dales & Sedbergh.
