Some might say that Blackpool is the most famous seaside resort in the UK with its enviable attractions and golden sandy beaches. The area provides endless possibilities to fill the days. Our Blackpool programme explores Lancashire's Fylde coastline from Southport in the south to Fleetwood in the north. A visit to one of Lancashire's most impressive mansions is included as too is a day in Southport, ending with a fascinating experience at the WW2 Spitfire Centre.
Lyntham Hall does not have a lift, for viewing rooms on the 1st and 2nd floors.

Day 1: Lytham St Annes & Lytham Hall
This morning we spend time in nearby Lytham St Annes. This beautiful market town boasts a beautiful wide open sandy beach along with a wide choice of tea shops, cafes and stylish restaurants. After lunch, arranged is an exclusive guided tour of the Grade 1 listed Lyntham Hall. The Hall is set in 80 acres of parkland and is the finest Georgian House in Lancashire, with its history spanning over 4 centuries. Included is an exclusive escorted Guided tour of the House with tea/coffee & biscuits in a private room. Back to your hotel in time to prepare for dinner followed by a cabaret show.
Day 2: Blackpool & Fleetwood Market
Stroll along the Promenade, pop in to many of the attractions along the Golden Mile or head to the top of the Blackpool Tower, for spectacular views over the town and coastline, whilst standing on the re-inforced glass floor! If you fancy, take part in the afternoon tea dances in the famous Tower Ballroom. Alternatively, catch the tram which will whisk you along the coast to Fleetwood, where on a Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and a Saturday there is a traditional open market (inside & outside) with over 250 stalls. Back in time for dinner with another entertaining extravaganza laid on.
Day 3: Southport & The Spitfire Centre
Another glorious day awaits. First stop on the outskirts of Blackpool is The Spitfire Centre. A guided tour provides an insight of the realities of fighting on the ground, as well as in the air, during the dark years of WW2. Experience the sights and sounds of an operational WW2 RAF fighter squadron hangar. View four life size marks of Spitfires and a Hawker Hurricane replicas. Next stop, about an hour away is the colourful seaside resort of Southport, with its historic Victorian Architecture. Time free to roam the Promenade, its iron pier or some of its 22 miles of golden coastline. Alternatively, enjoy the serenity of Birkdale Village or the Botanic Gardens. Dinner followed by a final night of entertainment.
