DAY 2 ULLSWATER
Sit back and relax on a circular cruise on an Ullswater steamer; the second largest lake in the Lake District. Afterwards enjoy free time in Keswick, surrounded by mountains such as Skiddaw, it’s a real hidden gem. Explore the town’s pretty streets or visit some of it’s small galleries and museums. Stationary enthusiasts may choose a trip to the famous pencil museum.
DAY 3 WINDERMERE AND BEATRIX POTTER
At the far north of Windermere lies Ambleside. Jump on board for a unique cruise skimming the largest Lake in the Lake District. Disembark at Bowness on Windermere for a visit to the famous Beatrix Potter Experience. See the stories the famous author brought to life in a beautiful re-creation set in glorious Lake District countryside. Afterwards, enjoy afternoon tea & free time in Windermere.
DAY 4 All ABOARD THE STEAM TRAIN
Head away from the hustle and bustle towards the coast. At Ravenglass board the quirky narrow gauge railway to Dalsgerth. Enjoy seven miles of spectacular Lakeland scenery before arriving at the foot of England’s highest mountains. Scafell Pike. The Railway is affectionately called 'La'al Ratty' which means 'little railway' in old Cumbrian dialect. On return visit the railway’s museum before a visit to the old world charm of Cockermouth for free time.
